ABSTRACT
The article presents the results of field research on the inventory and synthetic characterization of tree alleys occurring in Reszel commune. 21 elements of a line-tree stands with an average length of 67,013 m. For each object, the characteristics of the alley and composed trees was investigated. Additionally, place of conflict” and tree alleys demonstrating additional cultural value were determinated. Type (species) and number of trees needed to complete individual roadside tree-stands were estimated. Presented data resulted in the creation of „Local program of development of roadside-tree stands in the Reszel commune” submitted to the commune for implementation. Obtained results will also facilitate monitoring of changes occurring within individual alley and taking appropriate action.
