ABSTRACT
In the paper, the results of assessment of the technical state of hydraulic structure - a weir with movable closer, located in Szczyglice, on 8 km of Rudawa river were presented. The technical assessment of the weir was made according to methodology proposed by Zawadzki [2005]. Based on an average value calculated from the partial values of each elements of the construction and control and measurement devices it was stated, that technical condition of the weir is almost good. The average value was 3,94. The evaluation of the weir in Szczyglice worked out according to proposed by authors modification of Zawadzki’s method was also made, alongside the role of each elements of structure. Proposed modification consisted on bringing a weight for stable constructions and movable elements, ie. closure, defends accepted weight value in such a way, that the value of these elements of weir directly express the technical condition of the structure. The following weight values were taken: 1,0 for stable elements of the structure and for movable elements, 0,25 for benchmarks, piezometers and water gauges and 0,0 for boards. The assessment of technical state of the weir, evaluated as a weighted average from partial values was 4,37 and is more than 11% higher from value got according to Zawadzki’s method [2005]. Comparison of values of three weirs, published in papers of Tarnawski and Michalec [2007], Michalec and Suwaja [2012] and Michalec [2013] with values calculated according to proposed methodology was also made. It was stated, that if the facility does not have benchmarks, piezometers, water gauges and boards, it gets a significantly lower value in technical assessment according to Zawadzki’s method [2005] in comparison to results got from proposed method.
