Land consolidation is a basic agricultural management work which enables comprehensive changes in the agricultural area. They are performed according to the Act of 26 March 1982 on consolidation and exchange of land – consolidated text of the Journal of Laws 2014 item. 700. Land consolidation, together with the post consolidation procedures create an opportunity to improve living and working relations of rural residents. One of the objectives of consolidation is to perform tasks that affect the regulation of water relations in the area covered by the consolidation. The aim of this article is to identify opportunities to improve local water relations by adopting the appropriate concepts in the project of agricultural management works, which are the assumptions to the project of land consolidation. The case study includes 9 villages, in which the faults of local water relations were clearly indicated as well as the possibilities of their improvement through the execution of land consolidation along with the investments in the context of post consolidation management.
