ABSTRACT
The Mogiła-Kopaniec drainage complex was made in the seventies of the last century. This complex was not hitherto modernized, and not been performed analysis of hydraulic conditions of water drainage from the area covered by the negative effects of damming the waters of the Vistula on the Przewóz barrage. The paper presents the methodology used to analyze the operating conditions of Mogiła-Kopaniec drainage complex. The operating conditions of the pumping station complex have been assessed on the basis of the five-step analysis, containing various criteria for evaluation of the pumping station. It has been shown that in each of analyzed variants pumping out maximum daily water supplies to the pump is impossible for one day by a pump with a lower volume flow-rate of 360 m3 · h−1. Then, proves necessary to use a pump with a volume flow-rate of 2260 m3 · h−1. It was also found that the volume flow-rate of pumps has been accepted by the project with a significant reserve. Eliminate the discharge of sewage from the sewer system in the channel of the pumping station allowed the smooth functioning of the pumping stations using one pumping unit for greater volume flow-rate.
