ABSTRACT
This article aims to provide an analysis of the development of water and sewage infrastructure in the period between 2003 and 2013 in the Krosno subregion with a low urbanization level. Characteristic parameters such as the length of water supply and sewage networks, the amount of supplied water, wastewater and the number of users of both networks were analysed. The conducted analysis showed a substantial increase in the length of the sewage network and the number of its users. In the case of the water supply system the proliferation was not statistically significant. In the scale of the analysed period a marked decrease of the amount of water consumed in households took place. The analysed subregion is an active beneficiary of the EU and national funds which the analysis of the increase in the length of sewage network revealed. The current actions of particular local councils constitute the right direction for sustainability of water and sewage infrastructure in the new funding model in the period between 2014 and 2020.
