ABSTRACT
Aim of the study:
The aim of the study was to assess the attitude of residents of Krakow towards the subject of dog parks and to attempt to establish standards of equipment of these sites to make them both physically and behaviourally safe for dogs. The following exploratory questions were posed in the study: Do Krakow residents use dog parks, and how often? Do they consider their number and equipment to be adequate? What infrastructure is lacking in dog parks?

Material and methods:
For the purposes of the study, a survey was conducted to assess the need for the creation of dog parks in Krakow and the expectations of dog owners using them regarding their infrastructure. The survey was anonymous, available online to users of popular groups on social media.

Results and conclusions:
An analysis of dog parks in Krakow revealed that the level and degree of development, technical condition, and location are highly functional. These include both fenced areas and those with infrastructure for both people and dogs. Furthermore, the number of dog parks in Poland is growing, making it difficult to find guidelines and content regarding their location and design. The main study found that most respondents explained how to access the number of dog parks in Krakow, ensuring easy and equal access throughout the city. An analysis of the distribution of dog parks revealed that a distinct part of the city lacks them. Observations conducted at dog parks in Krakow revealed that their technical condition, layout, location, and area are very noticeable.
